The Best Way To Get Into Bitcoin

Bitcoin is picking up traction. You have probably heard about it. It's everywhere. Many company's are also starting to accept it. So what's all the hype about? That's what I originally thought. If you are interested in getting into Bitcoin your at the right place.

So What Is The Best Way To Get Into Bitcoin?

Education. There you go. Its the best way. I know what your thinking. "Education? Are you serious? I want to get into it ASAP! I don't wanna learn I wanna hop straight in!" That's the wrong mindset. If you know nothing about crypto and you want to buy some as an investment, you're going to lose money. I cant stress this enough. Learning about crypto is the best way to get into it.

How Do I Learn?

Well to start, I would recommend Bitcoin.org. It has a great explanation of what bitcoin is and how to get started. They will show you multiple Bitcoin wallets and exchanges to get you moving along. 

The Bitcoin Wallet.

The Bitcoin wallet is one of the most if not the most important parts to buying and selling bitcoin. It's were all your bitcoin is stored. If you need an easy and fast Bitcoin wallet I would go with block.io. They have the best user interface in my opinion and it is super easy to set up. Block.io is a web wallet. These can sometimes be insecure and you can be scammed easily with them. While I havn't heard anything bad about block.io please be weary. The other type of wallet is a hard drive wallet. These wallets sync to the block chain through your computer and are extremely difficult to be hacked. The downsides are that it can take hours or even days depending on your internet to sync, so prepare to wait a long time. 

If you are dealing with more than 0.01 (about $120 CAD) or whatever amount you don't feel comfortable putting at risk, get a hard drive wallet. 

If you are a Bitcoin newbie and need a wallet ASAP choose a web wallet. 

Exchanges:

WARNING! THIS SECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Bitcoin exchanges can be your best friend or the worst thing on earth. A Bitcoin exchange is where you can buy or sell cryptocurrencies. The best, most legitimate exchange out there is CoinBase. It has the best U.I., it's safe, and its easy. If you are not using Coinbase please be weary. I can't guarantee the legitimacy of any other exchange than that one.

Mining:

Mining sounds tempting at first. "Free Bitcoin??? Where Do I Sign!??" Hold on. Bitcoin mining works by giving miners free bitcoin to verify transactions on the blockchain. This sounds great! You can earn free bitcoin! The only problem is, without high end professional equipment, you wont earn anything. You will actually lose money because of your power costs! Dosn't sound like the "Best thing" anymore does it. A good guide on mining bitcoin can be found Here. 

Overview:

Bitcoin is great. It has so much potential as the currency of the future. Right now bitcoin has a lot of problems. I cant express enough that its important to do research and be careful before agreeing or paying anything or doing anything. Bitcoin can be a fun, educational experience if you are smart and careful, or it can be a nightmare.
